            The revised Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme Regulations 2021 (Vic) (Regulations) introduces temporary measures for retail and commercial landlords and tenants in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Regulations are complex, with critical time limits for both tenants and landlords. The Regulations can also alter existing rent relief agreement. They apply from 28 July 2021 until 15 January 2022.

            The Victorian Government announced updated restrictions for Melbourne and regional Victoria to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Victoria. These restrictions mean that many businesses will have to operate in a limited capacity or can no longer operate.

      JobKeeper 2.0
      
        
          
            On 21 July 2020, the Government announced an extension of the JobKeeper program to 28 March 2021 but with tighter access and reduced rates. From 28 September 2020, employers seeking to claim JobKeeper payments will need to reassess their eligibility and prove an actual decline in turnover.
If your business currently receives JobKeeper, your arrangements will generally remain unchanged until 27 September 2020.
